the church

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross." -Colossians 3:15-20

Who is Jesus? What is the church? Who... is the church? Does the church, today, resemble the church Christ intended? Do Christ-followers resemble the disciples, who dropping their nets, leaving their homes, as the days when Jesus first called them? 1 Corinthians 12:12-13 says... "for just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and mall were made to drink of one Spirit."

The church belongs to Jesus.Matthew 28:18-20 records Jesus' own words..."“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”"

The church belongs to Christ. We, the body and bride of Christ, the church, belong to Him. "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." -John 15:5

We must reclaim, not re-define, His church, The church must reclaim Christianity.
